What's Going On At Angel Paws of Texas

Before I start this news letter, I'd like to thank everyone who has taken time to stop by and have a look at our page. We have worked very hard on this and are far from finished! Fell free to come back again as we will be updating often. It's going to be a very busy month for us. We currently have 30 pets up for adoption with 1 adoption (Riley) pending! We are certain his adoption is going to go through and we are so excited for him because this is a really terrific home that he has found! The pets we have up for adoption include 7 kittens, 22 adult kitties, & 1 dog. Tuscaloosa & her 3 kittens will be ready for adoption by next Saturday, so hopefully we will be able to find them a wonderful home.

Adoptions

For the month of September 2003 we adopted out a total of 7 pets! We are so excited and so happy for these guys who have found great homes. The names of the pets we adopted out (you can read all about them in the adopted section of our web page) are Pumpkin, Daphy, MudMud, Smudge, Bianca, Raven & Winifred! If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please don't hesitate to email us with any questions. The adoption process is pretty easy. You find the pet you want. Next, you'll fill out a pet application and your on your way to having a wonderful new friend. Adopt a Dog or a Cat!

If You'd Like to Help

Do you want to help out with the animals? If so, we can use help of all sorts here at Angel Paws. Of course we can always use cash donations to help out the pets here at our organization. Your cash donation will be used towards care of the animals, supplies, etc. We can also use any of the following items: paper towels, newspapers, bleach, cleaners, pet bedding, towels, blankets, pet food, cat litter, hand soap, pet toys, pet taxis, kennels, crates, cages, pet treats, leashes, humane cat traps, and any other pet supply you may have sitting around! Want to help out, but can't afford a cash donation or pet supplies? Volunteer your time! We can always use help with fostering! Contact Kim at cats@selectrec.net

Thanks

Thanks goes out to Dr. Cochran our wonderful vet, located in Victoria, Texas. To Roberta, Joe, and all of our great friends at the city pound, who try their best to place animals into loving homes. To our very gracious friends at Adopt-A-Pet, Another No Kill Shelter. To Janice for helping supply pet food & kitty litter!

Special Thanks
!!!

We want to say thank you so much to Christine, Hilliard, Connie, Tammy, Kristen, Debbie, Linda, Kimberly, Jennifer, Kay, Gayle, & Christina who all helped in the transport of these wonderful kitties from Griffin, GA to us here in Texas! Also for the very kind donations from Nina, Stef, Michelle, Renee, Kelly, Autumn, & Annette! Without your help we know these sweet babies would not be alive. You are all very wonderful and special. Who knew there were this many great people in the world?

Pet Talk

We will be bringing you a brand new pet talk column written by one of our volunteers quarterly. This quarters pet talk has been added! Raining Cats and Dogs In Your Neighborhood? Mine too!, written by Kim Martin.

Happy Halloween
From your friends at Angel Paws of Texas!

The weather in October is perfect in Texas. It's finally cooling down! We can open the windows and feel the
breeze coming in. The cats love going out into the outdoor enclosure, but I hope everyone keeps in mind that
as Halloween approaches all pets need to be kept indoors at all times! This is especially true with black cats.
Have a happy and safe Halloween! - Randy, Angel Paws of Texas
